Montre D'or 6-Month Warranty Terms and Conditions
All watches sold by Montre D’or include a 6 month limited warranty starting from the date the watch is delivered to you, or collected by you. All purchases at Montre D'or, whether on the website or in-person, automatically agree to these terms and conditions.
1. What this warranty covers
This warranty covers faults in the internal mechanical movement that occur under normal use and are not caused by the customer, and were not disclosed in the listing photos or description.
If a covered fault is confirmed after inspection, Montre D’or will decide the remedy. The remedy may be repair, replacement of necessary parts with equivalent parts, or a partial refund if repair is not reasonably possible.
2. How to make a claim
To start a claim, contact us before doing anything else:

Please include:
Proof of purchase
A clear description of the issue
Photos or videos that show the problem
A photo of your warranty card
Do not open the watch, regulate it, or send it to any third party unless we give written approval. If a third party touches the watch, the warranty is void.
3. Accuracy policy
Mechanical and vintage watches can vary with position, wear habits, temperature, and power reserve. Normal variance is not a defect.
Accuracy will only be considered a warranty issue if it is “extreme,” defined as:
An average gain or loss greater than 90 seconds per day, measured over 72 hours, compared to an atomic time reference, with the watch adequately wound and used normally.
We may request a simple timing video, and we may still require inspection to confirm whether the cause is a movement fault or an external factor.
Accuracy claims are not covered if the issue is caused by magnetism, impact, moisture, low power reserve, incorrect setting, or misuse.
4. What is not covered
This warranty does not cover damage or issues caused by the customer or the environment, including:
Water, moisture, humidity, sweat, steam, condensation, corrosion, or rust. We do not guarantee water resistance unless explicitly stated in writing.
Wear and tear and cosmetic aging, including scratches, dents, plating wear, patina, lume aging, crystal scratches, and normal bracelet or strap wear.
Straps and bracelets are consumables and are not covered.
Accidents and impact damage, including dropping, knocking, crushing, vibration, or shock.
Incorrect use, including improper winding, forcing the crown, operating pushers incorrectly, or setting the time/date at unsafe times for the movement.
External part damage or loss, including crystal, crown, winding stem, pushers, buttons, spring bars, clasp, bezel, and any ornaments or stones.
Dirt, sand, dust, chemicals, or improper storage.
5. International shipping, returns, and inspection
If you are overseas, any return shipment to us must be trackable and properly packed. We strongly recommend insurance.
If the claim is confirmed as covered, we will cover the cost of shipping the watch back to you using a method we choose.
If the claim is not covered, you will be responsible for return shipping, and any inspection or handling costs if applicable. We will inform you before proceeding with any chargeable work.
Customs duties, taxes, and import or export charges are the buyer’s responsibility. We are not responsible for delays, seizures, or fees imposed by customs.
6. Warranty void conditions
The warranty is immediately void if:
The watch is opened, serviced, regulated, modified, polished, or repaired by anyone other than Montre D’or or our approved watchmaker without written approval
There are signs of tampering, missing parts caused by third party work, or altered identifying markings
In these cases, there is no reimbursement for third party service, parts, or shipping.
7. Limits of liability
This is a repair warranty, not a promise that a vintage watch will perform like a brand new watch.
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the watch. We are not liable for indirect losses such as downtime, missed events, sentimental value, or any third party costs.
